Wield The Wolfhound

 

Wield The Wolfhound was originaly formed in 2007,

  several years before Jim Power (acoustic guitar and lead vocals) hosted Open Mic Nites through out Providence and East Providence RI. The band members began to form when they all realized they all shared Celtic roots and loved Celtic music.

 

      Before Wield The Wolfhound, the band went by the name of P.S.Rock for a few years because the name of the original band members, Power, Shenfield and Jonny Rock, A trio with guitar, violin and drums. Thats when the band started only performing Celtic rock, traditionals and originals, what the band does today. Kian Shenfield on Fiddle.(violin). Kian has moved on and these days.

 

       Today Wield The Wolfhound has 4 members. 

 

Adam (the man) Helmer on driving bass and back up vocals,

 

David (dynamite) Anderson on drums

 

and (jamming) Jim Power vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin and harmonica.

and (dazzling) Joe Marran on keyboard and back up vocals.

 

    Since 2007 the band has performed a variety of stages including bars, clubs, charity events and festivals in the northeast.
